Global Warming is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time. The climate is heating up, the polar icecaps are melting, and species all over the planet aren’t able to adapt which is contributing to a rapid increase in extinctions. Here are some ways to help do your part to minimize the worst effects of climate change and some blog posts on climate change topics.

The resources that we have available on this planet must be used responsibly. If it were up to industrial businesses, safety to the environment and the management of resources would go unchecked. Even though recycling programs are put in place, awareness still needs to be raised on recycling, re-using, and reducing to help alleviate pressure on scarce resources.

The population explosion over the past 100 years resulted in the recent birth of the 7th Billion human being alive on Earth. The sheer amount of mouths to feed, shelter to provide, and products to consume are going to push the limits of what Earth is capable of providing. That is why emphasis on re-purposing everything possible and finding efficient farming technologies will be needed.

Renewable energy is an abundant and clean source of energy. It is for our taking if we so choose. With renewable energy we can start to wean off of fossil fuel which has polluted our air, contributed to climate change, and made dependent on foreign imports for everyday energy use.

Our world is being assaulted with environmental pollution on a daily basis. Toxic air pollution and water pollution have been tarnishing the pristine balance of the planet. Now that we have alternative clean technology, we can stop polluting as much and help clean up the air and water. Species Extinctions are occurring at an alarmingly fast rate. According to the Global Species Assessment – biodiversity and species extinctions are declining at a rate in which new species aren’t able to keep up. It is estimated that 10,000 species have gone extinct in the last 100 years. The root cause of these species extinctions are thought to be mainly human-induced habitat encroachment, pollution, and hunting.
